Job Duties

  • Deliver technical and commercial competitive strategies and solutions for heat tracing systems
  • Support customers with the engineering design and configuration of suitable electrical heat trace solutions, utilizing Heloc Pro software for heat tracing applications
  • Participate in preparing bids/proposals by reviewing project specification to configure mechanical, electrical, and control requirements into the design and provide optimized solutions that meet international standards and local requirements
  • Perform site surveys at customers’ facilities to support the use, operation, and maintenance of the heat trace systems, ensuring installation meets requirements, and provide upgraded solutions 
  • Work with BARTEC factories abroad to assist in the development and design of customized EHT systems, ensuring technical compliance
  • Up to 25% domestic travel to provide technical sales support

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechatronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering, and three years of experience in the job offered or alternate occupation (all levels accepted) such as Sales Engineer, Sales Manager, Applications Engineer, or closely related.
  • Position requires three years of experience in the following skills:
    o    Providing technical sales support and engineering solutions in the Oil & Gas, Energy, Chemical, or Petrochemical industries
    o    Design of engineered solutions for mechanical, electrical, and control systems
    o    Electrical components and process (flow, pressure, and temperature) instrumentation, PLCs, power and control panels, microprocessors, and communication protocols
    o    Preparing bid proposals for custom designs and supply of control, measurement, or heat trace systems
    o    National or international standards, codes, and local requirements, such as ASME, ASTM, ANSI, ISO, AGA, API, NIST, OSHA, IEC, NEC, IEEE, UL, or CSA.
